✈️ Catania-Fontanarossa Airport (CTA)

Catania Airport is the preferred choice for most travellers thanks to the large number of national and international flights and the availability of direct transfer services to the port of Milazzo, the departure point for hydrofoils and ferries to Lipari.

✈️ Reggio Calabria Airport (REG)

Closer in terms of distance, Reggio Calabria Airport is located approximately 75 km from Lipari. However, the offer of flights and connections is limited in comparison to Catania.

Distance from the airport to the port of Reggio Calabria is about 10 km.

From here there are direct hydrofoil services to Lipari.

Once you reach the port of Milazzo, you can easily board a hydrofoil or ferry to Lipari. Milazzo is the main port of call for the Aeolian Islands, with frequent departures throughout the year and more frequent during the summer months.

Hydrofoils are the fastest way to reach Lipari, ideal for those traveling alone with light luggage or keen on time efficiency.
